The Indy R’s Cheque Presentation in aid of the QPR Tiger Cubs

My 21st Indy R’s badge was produced last year as a fundraiser for the QPR Tiger Cubs. The sale of 120 badges raised a total of £604.09.

Ahead of the 10th anniversary of ‘QPR in the Community Trust’ in February 2019, a reception was held at Loftus Road last week with over 100 visitors in attendance to acknowledge the start of their celebrations.

Guests included; Les Ferdinand, Lee Hoos, Andy Sinton, the Mayor of Hammersmith, Daryl Brown, plus Alex Baptiste, Darnell Furlong, representatives of the Prince’s Trust and members of over forty local organisations.

Many R’s fans will be aware of James Casling and how the Trust literally saved his life. His emotional speech was one of the most moving that I’ve ever witnessed. Well done to him.

Andy Sinton summed it up when he said: “Regardless of what is happening on the pitch we can, and should, always be proud of what we are doing in the local community.”

Thanks to everyone that purchased the badges, Andy Evans of course for inviting me and to Ryan Rocastle for forwarding the above photo.
