Ahead of the league game at the SkyEx Community Stadium, the Club announced two new signings, namely; attacking midfielder from Actonians, Wiktoria Franc, and striker Chelsea Ferguson from Lewes.
Halle Carn provided the first attempt of the evening when her strike from some distance flew over the bar.
Then, Annie Dzyadyk’s cross/shot from close to the bye-line was successfully grabbed by Gemma Biggadike.
At the other end, following a swift breakaway, Renee Johnson superbly thwarted the danger in front of the Rangers goal.
The hosts took the lead on 15 minutes when a cross from the left was spilled by the keeper and Taylor Bell was on hand to finish.
Good tracking back by Nicole Barrett all the way to the bye-line, resulted in the R’s defender winning the ball off Che Thomas and clearing the danger.
Mr Davis briefly halted play in order that the deflated ball could be replaced.
Rangers doubled their lead just before the interval courtesy of Lauren Amerena. Half-time: 2-0.
For the commencement of the second-half, Ross Bennett made his first change, when new signing Chelsea Ferguson replaced Shannon Albuery.
In the early stages, Simone Eligon made a comfortable save from Sandra Martins.
Looking to increase their lead, Renee Johnson headed the ball over the bar following a corner.
Mr Davis booked the R’s keeper, seemingly for taking too long with a free kick.
The visitors really should have pulled a goal back when, following a mistake at the back, Hayley Hoare somehow fired wide.
Annie Dzyadyk was shown a yellow card.
A good move down the left-flank resulted in Chelsea Ferguson’s attempt being grabbed by the keeper.
In the 88th minute, Annie Dzyadyk made way for Jess Leach.
This win left the R’s in third place on goal difference, and one point behind the leaders, Actonians.
