Issued in 1961 by Rover and Adventure comic, the ABC Chart of Football Colours featured 130 clubs from the English and Scottish Football Leagues on four large cards.
The idea was to cut the face of the player from gummed sheets and then match it onto the chart. Number 93 was QPR player Keith Rutter.
They are now quite hard to find in unused form as normally they are found stuck together.
In the early 1930’s, the publishers D.C. Thomson issued a similar collection with the Wizard.
Rover and Adventure were two of D.C. Thomson’s boy’s story comics who had merged in 1961. Two years later the title was shortened to the ‘Rover’.
