Ex St Clement Danes schoolboy and originally from the West Way area.

Why didn't he support QPR FC?

As an Old Dane myself ( ditto ESSEX ), I mourn FF's passing.

Frank Field was at Danes the same time as Essex and another friend of mine Geoff Murrell.

Frank Field was though a few years above them whilst at the school and I am sure they did not really know Frank that well.

A point for kerrins, as Underwood gets his obit in the latest Private Eye.

And R.I.P. Dickey Betts, of U.S. rockers, the Allman Brothers Band.
Saw them at the very 1st Knebworth concert.
He wrote their biggest hit, "Ramblin' Man."

R.I.P. another musician, Mike Pinder, of the Moody Blues.
He pioneered the use of the 'Mellotron' synthesizer.

Also goodbye to artist Roy Cross, 100; he drew the covers on Airfix kits.

And R.I.P. actor Bernard Hill, aka Yosser in 'Boys From The Blackstuff.'

Played saxophone on many great records, perhaps most notably 'Young Americans,' by David Bowie.

Not my kind of music but he certainly had talent.

No truth in the rumour that in later life he cut a record with Sid Vicious called. I remember you.....You B*st*rd ;) :)

R.I.P. actress Gudrun Ure, aka 'Supergran,' of kids tv.
In her 90s, so she had a.....good run.
