R.I.P. songwriter Richard Sherman.
Mainly wrote for Disney films, like Mary Poppins & The Jungle Book.
Responsible for one of our best songs of recent years,
"Chim-chiminee, chim-chiminee, chim chim cherroo,
who needs Sol Campbell when we've got Shittu."

Sad news about Richard Sherman....He also wrote that great Pop record for Johnny Burnett in 1960 called You're Sixteen and I am one of the few people on here that remembers it ;)

Now don't try and kid me Man Cub
That happens to be true.
It didn't reach the top
Number 8 it stopped
But that's not bothering me.
I wanna hear more of these records.
The very best in town.
Its my desire.
Forget Red Fire.
I'm tired of Monkeyin' around :)

John Mayall of The John Mayalls Bluesbreakers 1960'S cult iconic group. RIP aged 90

I have to say not really my taste in music back then.....and anyway there was no way my parents were
going to allow me to watch them perform at their regular London venue The Marquee
