Swansea Yesterday...

Post by Steve Russell »

Pleased to meet Conor & his family over from Belfast
pre-match.

If you wished for anyone to score it was Richard Kone :D
And what a performance it was :D

Meanwhile, Swansea hit the crossbar and Pierce Charles stopped
a shot smashed at him.

We did get that penalty & Paul Smyth was getting blatantly fouled
around the pitch including having his shirt pulled almost up to his neck
& nothing given

For the anniversary of the Forever R's Club, onto the pitch came
Gerry Francis, Mark Lazarus' son, Nicky & a very emotional
Clarke Carlisle.

Andy Sinton was the latest inductee. What a fantastic ambassador
he is.

As we celebrated at the final whistle, this was played...(genius)

A great win and a surprisingly good score line :)

What we need to do now is vastly improve the fitness levels. This squad has a massive problem
in coping with 3 games a week.

Good to see you too Steve!

Brilliant game to be at under my poncho in the paddocks.

The energetic passing game was electric with everyone doing their assigned job very well.

A strong understanding between players was evident and allowed us to look well schooled
and able to execute an effective game plan which required us to be quick, slick and playing a
team game.

This was a test against the meanest defence in the division to date and to score five (which could
have well have been 7) would have been beyond the hopes of most of us.

Great confidence boost to the team.

Getting tricky Paul Smyth into the box to be taken down for penalties is definitely a winning ploy for us.
Keep getting him in the box.

Great to see a hat trick! Well done Richard Kone!!!
