I was at the FA County Ground last night to witness this Premier League Cup encounter.
It is fair to say that overall we very much underperformed and the result and display was a let
down.

In the first half we were not at the races. We had just the one tame header and showed nothing up front.

Blackburn were buzzing non stop around our penalty area and went 2-0 up. The first was an incisive exchange
of passes on Blackburn's right which led to one of their midfielders driving home.

The second goal was a cut back from Gady Beyuku (a dangerous right winger throughout the match) for a
forward colleague to smash home. We we lucky to go in at the interval only 2-0 down let me tell you!

In the second half some QPR improvement was shown and out of the blue Archie O Brien reduced Blackburn's
lead to 2-1 following a blistering shot from outside the box. Blackburn soon made it 3-1 and also hit the post.

We were better in the second half but still second best.

Yep in the end the 4-2 loss put a blot on our chances of qualifying out of this group stage but there are still a
number of fixtures left to play and we are not done yet!
