Oxford game

Post by ESSEXURs »

Well that was a truly awful game played in awful conditions not helped by the open
ended stadium design.
Full marks to the fans who went.

However these are suppose to be professional players and the lack of ball control and
misplaced passes in the conditions was unacceptable.
Kone was obviously miles off the pace and should have been replaced earlier in the game.

I don’t know if we are not playing to his strengths or he is finding adjusting to this league
a problem.

Where was the short on the ground passing?
Saturday is going to be interesting including whether they’ve painted the pitch green to improve
the look of it! :D

After a wonderful win against Leicester we blew a big chance to make substantial progress
after poor results and displays over the Xmas and New Year period against 3 mediocre and
rubbish teams!

Following on at Stoke we were a non event and lets face it so very lucky indeed to get away
without being well beat. Then last night at "rubbing rags" Oxford we could not win or even
score a goal. Awful. Bad News!

Ok sure we have injuries but notwithstanding that I am looking at the fixture list and I reckon
even with full fitness the number of points we will get from our remaining AWAY encounters
this season will be closer to zero than 10

Hope I am wrong
