Rhys Norrington-Davies Joins on Loan....

Post by Steve Russell »

Welcome Rhys.
From the Club...

'RHYS Norrington-Davies has joined QPR on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.

Left-back Norrington-Davies has been with the Blades since the age of 18. In the early days of his
career, he enjoyed loan spells with Barrow and Rochdale. In 2020/21, meanwhile, he spent time on
loan at both Luton Town and Stoke City - making 38 Championship appearances across the two clubs.

Having featured for Sheffield United 17 times last season, the 26-year-old is eager to achieve regular
game-time with the R’s.

“I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play for QPR,” he said after completing the move.

“For me personally, I'm coming in here to play football.”

Describing himself as a player, Norrington-Davies – who has represented Wales on 13 occasions – said:
“I'd like to say I'm on the front foot, aggressive in nature, be that defensively or attacking. So now I'm looking
forward to getting out there and showing the fans what I can do.”

Norrington-Davies, who also featured in the Premier League for the Blades during 2023/24, joins a young
Rangers group, and it is one he has a lot of belief in, adding: “The potential's there, there's some good names
within the squad.

“It takes time for the whole squad to gel and it's still early days.

“Hopefully over the coming weeks and months, there'll be some positive performances and positive results.”

Norrington-Davies was an unused sub for the Blades’ clash with Millwall on Saturday afternoon and is raring to get
his QPR career started, adding: “I’m fit, 100% ready to go for Charlton.”

CEO Christian Nourry said: “With significant Championship experience and exposure to the Premier League, we are
delighted to welcome Rhys for the 2025/26 campaign.

“He brings tenacity and has an aggressive playing style.”

Blades fans not too upset with his departure, some are even suggesting he is very injury prone.

If that is the case then 1. Who done the due diligence on this player and signed him.
2. JCS and Frey will have another sick note in the treatment room with them.

I will probably be accused of being too harsh on this player, but I have absolutely no confidence in
anybody at Loftus Road when it comes to recruitment. Time to move a few out in my opinion.

Yes, I have been on one of the Sheffield United websites, and it seems that some of their
supporters can't wait to see the back of him

I wish the lad well, but it seems that the jury are out on this one. We will see.
