had been no advance warning that it was card only
Good to see Chloe Kelly arriving on the pitch with the match ball to rapturous applause.
It was known that a number of squad players were sidelined but I was surprised to see
Kieran Morgan at right-back. However, I thought he was outstanding.
Well done to him.
With Preston on the attack, the lino on the Stan Bowles Stand side somehow ignored within
a minute or so the ball going a least a foot over on the byeline & a blatant offside
In the 1st half I thought the movement was better than many times last season & we
moved the ball quicker.
After the break & it was the visitors who upped their game in the early stages.
Preston equalised when we were caught out from a long ball through the middle.
Kader Dembele had a very good game & he forced a diving save from the keeper
at the near-post.
Julien Stephan said in his programme notes that: " We have two very good goalkeepers
in Paul Nardi & Joe & I can also say that they will both play over the next few days, one
against Preston & the other one against Plymouth on Tuesday."
