Re: New Striker
Bill we have allegedly agreed a deal to sign a striker, his name is Zan Celar and he is a Slovenian international
who plays for FC Lugano in Switzerland. Other clubs interested in him apparently, but the signs are that he is QPR bound.
He is 25 years old and has scored 51 goals in 118 appearances, not a bad ratio at any level in my opinion.
If the club manages to get this signing over the line, this will be a real coup and they should be commended for doing so.
Looks very promising in my opinion.

Re: New Striker
From West London Sport...
'Sinclair Armstrong is today expected to complete a move to Bristol City from QPR, who are looking to seal
the signing of Slovenia international striker Zan Celar.
Armstrong has chosen the Robins over Stoke, who were also keen to snap him up.
Rangers recently took up an option to extent his contract for a year as his deal was due to expire this summer.
The 21-year-old forward not signing a long-term contract alerted a number of interested clubs to his potential
availability – and prompted Rangers to let him go.
Dubliner Armstrong joined QPR from Shamrock Rovers four years ago and has made 61 Championship appearances,
mostly as a substitute, scoring three goals.
Meanwhile, a deal appears to be in place to bring Celar, 25, to Loftus Road from Swiss Super League club Lugano.'

Re: New Striker
Tommy,
I would just say on these latest transfer updates that the 'Devil is In The Detail'.
It all looks extremely positive, but as we are all aware, this is QPR that we are talking about !!
Anyway, in Noury we trust

Truly woeful stats, time to part company.Steve Russell wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 9:13 am ....Armstrong joined QPR from Shamrock Rovers four years ago and has made 61 Championship appearances,

Re: New Striker
On the face of it if we sign Celar it would seem likely on the evidence that he would score more goals than Sinclair Armstrong
Re: New Striker
And with probably Dykes combined!

Sinclair Armstrong 3 goals in 61 Championship appearances for QPR.
Zan Celar 51 goals in 118 appearances for FC Lugano.
Those numbers say it all really,
