BOYCOTT THE DAILY MAIL, says steveqpr881

Post by steveqpr881 »

Read this in yesterday's Daily Mail, by some hack called Martin Samuel:
"Any hurt that may be felt by Chelsea followers this morning, any sense of justice, or misconceptions about who the victims are here.....
your inability to buy a replica shirt at the club shop is not the issue.....You are not hunkering down in a basement or learning how to fire a rifle in the hope of repelling a column of tanks......"
So far, so good; but he goes on to say,
"At worst, your team may end up as Queens Park Rangers for a few seasons....."
THAT IS WHY I SAY ALL Rs FANS MUST HENCEFORTH CEASE FROM BUYING THIS DREADFUL RAG

Martin Samuel (Daily Mail Chief Sports Writer) comes across as a bitter and biased individual, and has form for these sort of comments (unless of course when mentioning Chelsea, Man U/City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc).

For example, ever since Max Verstappen claimed the Formula 1 World Championship after beating Lewis Hamilton (some would say say in controversial circumstances) on the final day, Samuel never misses an opportunity to denigrate Verstappen, who, in a lot of informed sports writers opinions, was the better driver taken over the whole Formula 1 season.

Samuel's comment with regard to the R's was snide and uncalled for, but sums up perfectly the individual who made it.

Bill, I certainly won't be buying The Mail today; I shudder to think what he'll have to say about yesterday's performance :o
