Long faces pre-match at Heston this morning, but the U18's began the game very well, good, quick moving build ups & using both wingers, Mema & De Silva, superbly.

We took the lead after Dillon De Silva headed the ball across from the bye-line for Babajide to finish from close range, Coventry equalised against the run of play from a defensive error. HT 1-1.

Dillon De Silva had been out with a shoulder injury for months, he had an ex half but was rested to make way for Lemar Griffiths. Isaac Pitblado had made his return after a long lay-off & he was replaced by Mason McLean for the 2nd half.

Tom Middlehurst received a head injury & Paul Furlong brought on Max Little to replace him in goal.

Hamzad Kargbo put us in front & our third came from MOM Armelindo Mema when he fired the ball into the net from close range at the near post. How much did he deserve that!!!!

Coventry got a goal back from the penalty spot. Max Little stopped the initial shot but couldn't keep out the follow up.

At the other end Mema's powerful shot went in from the underside of the crossbar. Wonderful!!

The visitors got a 3rd from around 25yards which sailed into the net.

A Coventry player was booked after he had claimed a foul against Kargbo. Mr Pilling shook his head & said: "No, good tackle." Resulting in the player telling him to "Fuck Off"!

MOM Armelindo Mema never stopped running & in the final minutes he went down, looking like he had cramp in both legs!! Despite some assistance he couldn't continue & limped away.

FT: 4-3. Starting line-up: Middlehurst, Jude-Boyd, Pitblado, Paiva, Mahorn, Fahmy, De Silva, Aoraha, Kargbo, Babajide, Mema.

This was a very good performance & the score flattered the visitors.Well done to Paul Furlong & his team.
