Squad a lot weaker this season

Post by Tommy Cunningham »

I know it’s only the first league game of the season, so I am refusing to press any panic buttons
at this stage.

Unfortunately I do genuinely believe we have a weaker squad this season compared to last season,
full back positions are a real concern and not a striker of any repute in the club. Some big calls were
made by the hierarchy at the club this summer, I just hope some of those decisions don’t come back
to haunt us come May.

"Not a striker of any repute in the club" Spot on (as opposed to rock on) Tommy. ;)

Michael Beale appears to be “bigging” up the potential of young striker Sinclair Armstrong,
this lad is a young raw 19 year old who is surely a player for the future.

I don’t want to sound too harsh on the lad, but he is not prolific in his goal scoring statistics.
2 goals at Torquay and 2 goals at Aldershot during his loan periods, we need an experienced
striker with a decent scoring record now.

Kevin Gallen has reiterated the need for new strikers at QPR, many times since the
end of last season.

Gotta feeling he may mention it again sooner rather than later.
