I know it's still pre-season & there's not much going on, but no posts since Saturday??
Has anyone got something to say? COME ON, LETS BE 'AVING YER.
And none of your usual "56 views & no reply" (he said, more in hope than expectation.

To be brutally honest with you Steve, I am dreading this coming season.

Hugely underwhelmed with the newly appointed managerial team, I thought the press conference
with Beale and Ferdinand was cringeworthy. Ferdinand talking bollox about piling information into
something, then Beale it was decided was the unanimous choice.

A totally inexperienced Head Coach was appointed, so far 2 players signed on free transfers of
which 1 player was relegated with his club last season.

If Michael Beale can keep us in the top half of the table, at the same time playing entertaining football.
I will be the first to put my hands up and admit I was wrong, but the Championship is a tough and
unforgiving league and I have my doubts.

I think this is probably the most flat I’ve felt for years in pre season, players still contracted to the
club that should never be at QPR.

I have no doubt some supporters will disagree with my views which is their prerogative, but I think
this season will be a struggle and I just hope come May next year we are still in the Championship.

Cheers Tommy; some interesting points there.
tbh, I've never heard of our new manager, or any of our new signings.
So as far as I'm concerned, it's a case of wait & see what happens.

Apologies if I am coming across too negative even before a ball is kicked, but I am of the opinion
that our recruitment this summer is gonna be more critical than ever.

Unfortunately, I do not think our DOF is up to the task, our last transfer window in January was
disastrous and ended any play off hopes we had.

Like everybody else I will wait and see what develops, Lee Hoos and Les Ferdinand have made
some big calls this summer. As CEO and DOF of QPR, they must be held accountable for their decisions
should they go wrong again.

Can't argue with that, I'm all for accountability.
In this game, it's results that count.

At the moment all I will say is that if we do not intend to replace Austin or Gray and rely
on Thomas up front as one of our main strikers we will be in deep trouble in the goal scoring department.

Fair point, kerrins.
Mind you, most teams would kill for a decent striker.

Decent strikers even in the Championship come at a high price, then comes the inflated contracts
they demand.

I know we are unable to sign those types of players, but they do make a difference and
unless we get an outstanding loan or unearth a gem it is gonna be extremely tough.

I listened to a podcast recently and Kevin Gallen was speaking on there, he pulled no punches
and said straight out about the urgent need for a couple of strikers.

As Kerrins quite rightly said now that Austin and Gray have departed, we could be in trouble if
they are not replaced. My biggest fear is we start the season, with a front two of Dykes and Bonne.
