Chris's match report...

Professional Development Under 21 League.
QPR 3 Bristol City 1.

QPR Development Squad got back to winning ways in the noon kick off today at TSG Heston.

Rangers fielded a strong team including the welcome return of Karamoko Dembele for his first
appearance this season. Justin Obikwu and Leon Scarlett also started along with new signing
from Ireland Oisin McDonagh for his debut at centre back.

Rangers had to come from behind as the Robins took the lead on 40 minutes when the number
9 was brought down by Matteo Salamon as he rounded the keeper.

I thought the 9 was offside when he received the ball but he made a powerful run and evaded
defenders before being brought down.

The lead only lasted three minutes as Leon Scarlett was also brought down in the box. Dembele
blasted his spot kick into the top right hand corner of the net sending the keeper the wrong way.
HT 1-1.

Second half things improved immeasurably with the introduction of substitutes Rico Kennedy and
Ridwan Hassan on 46 minutes.

On 51 minutes Kennedy got down the right , went past the left back and crossed from the by line into
the six yard box where Hassan had his effort blocked but Amar Sanghrajka was on hand to smash home
the rebound from eight yards for his first goal in hoops.

On 61 minutes Sanghrajka, from a corner , swapped passes with Esquerdinha and his inswinging cross to
Hassan was inadvertently flicked into the net by a defender.

On 81 minutes Esquerdinha had a great effort from just inside the box go agonisingly inches wide.

A minute later Hassan burst past a defender and hit a 20 yard screamer that hit the outside of the left
hand post.

Up the other end the #9 was unlucky when his shot from 20 yards went inches over the bar then shortly
after went on a mazy run ended, up one on one but screwed his shot wide.

Just like the first team the DS team ended the game with ten men as having used all five subs Fraser Neill
pulled up with what looked like a hamstring problem.

He had moved to centre back on 75 minutes , pulled a muscle and departed with about 5 minutes remaining.
Esquerdinha finished the game limping as well.

Good to see we are back to winning ways and the injury tradition is alive and kicking at this level!

The number of injuries all clubs at different levels are sustaining is so much more than usual.
I wonder if anybody is researching the situation.

The research and injury history of every player should have been carried out before they were
signed, the amount of injuries at QPR is an absolute disgrace.

Yes players do get injured whilst playing in games and training sessions, but I am only a supporter
and have managed to research the injury history on players signed by the club.

The club have not done any of this hence the reason, why we are scratching around like a pub team
to field teams.

They need to stop signing players who are weak mentally and physically.
