Chris' match report from the Indy's Facebook group.

QPR Development squad drew with Cardiff City yesterday at a windswept TSG .

Due to the heavy winds it meant whoever had the wind behind them had the advantage, thus we were
the better team first half and vice versa second half.

Charlie Street was listed on the teamsheet having been red carded harshly on Friday against Southampton
at Eastleigh FCs ground. The club appealed and the red card was overturned.

We were winning 1-0 at the time and the 10 players succumbed to a 5-1 defeat. Thank you Mr Watkins.

Also good to see Fraser Neill in the flesh again , he returned against Southampton on Friday having been
‘missing’ since the Dev Squad beat Fleetwood Town a month ago. I learnt he has been with the first team
which is great news.

Our goal came on 7 minutes when Josh Wright squeezed his near post shot into the bottom left hand corner
of the goal via a deflection.

We created quite a few half chances in the first, partly due to the wind but Cardiff created an excellent
chance following a 6 pass move that saw a player clean through but somehow put his shot wide.

And shortly before that the Cardiff #4 hit the post. All our chances first half went narrowly wide with
Esquerdinha, O’Brien and Sanghrajka unlucky with their attempts. HT 1-0.

All 3 outfield substitutes were introduced on 61 minutes which included a new name/face #15 Harry Pashley ,
a trialist who replaced Esquerdinha at left back.

He’s been at Bracknell Town and prior to that Maidenhead United. He has represented England at schoolboy
level . Fitted in well for his debut.

On 63 minutes sub Rocco Friel went on a run from right back but his 20 yard left foot shot was saved comfortably.

On 68 minutes , Fraser Neill sent in a curling cross and Archie O’Brien headed over the keeper but the ball landed
on the roof of the net. A few minutes later O’Brien was unlucky again when his shot was deflected wide.

On 80 minutes Neill found Amar Sanghrajka in the D and as the ball dropped he smashed his volley against the bar
and over.

At the other end we were under a lot of pressure with the wind against us and Kasey Taylor made an excellent save,
his first decent one, on 81 minutes.

But Cardiff persevered and got the equaliser on 88 minutes which was fair reflection on the game. Both teams tried
to play good football in trying conditions and no one dominated. FT 1-1.
