My Uncle Art (Rest in Peace) from Notting Hill, told me once that (in the 1940's I think?)
he got on the pitch at Loftus Rd to chin a Tottenham full-back who was kicking lumps out
of the Rangers winger.
As the police chased him, he caught his braces on the fence & Rangers fans managed to pull
him back..
Many years later I mentioned it to former R's player Alf Parkinson who told me that he remembered
it well.
