Thanks to Chris Hewitt for his report on our Facebook group..

Under 18 Professional Development League Cup

Gabriel Oluwabusola scored a hat-trick as QPR under 18s came back from going behind early on to win
comfortably in the end against AFC Wimbledon at the Dons Training Ground in New Malden.

QPRs number 9 will make the headlines for his goals but it was his colleague Emmanuel Owade on the
left wing who put in a man of the match performance in creating 3 goals , winning a penalty and giving
the Dons defence nightmares.

The opening thirty minutes saw Wimbledon take the lead on 16 minutes then hit the post on the half hour
mark in a period of near total domination.

In that period we only created two chances with William Whitehead testing the keeper in the 8th minute
and Gabriel Oluwabusola having a 25 yard free kick go just wide on 40 minutes

Then a minute later , Emmanuel Owade was found out wide left by a diagonal pass by Thomas Wiles,
skipped past the right back and found Oluwabusola at the far post with a perfect cross and the ball was
swept home from 6 yards. Within seconds of the equaliser Wimbledon were awarded a penalty with our
keeper Cian Osborne receiving a yellow card for his troubles.

The keeper didn’t feel sorry for himself and pulled off a great save diving down to his left and palming
the shot away. We took a while to get going but the last fifteen minutes first half saw us begin to play
some great football. HT 1-1.

We started the second half as we ended the first, on the front foot. Owade was at the heart of everything
we did. He was creating many chances and on 55 minutes , he was found wide left in the box.

Advancing to goal ,his angled shot hit the bar and the loose ball was headed home by substitute
Kemuel Edouard-Marrison via the crossbar. Owade and Oluwabusola were at it again soon after with Emanuel
putting in another pinpoint cross for Gabriel to sweep home from 6 yards.

Five minutes later, Owade was found on the half wayline by Ruben Michaud, going past a defender he advanced
into the box and as he went to pull the trigger he was tripped by the centre half for a stonewall penalty.

Oluwabusola smashed the ball home from the penalty spot. On 80 minutes Owade created another excellent
chance for Oluwabusola to score a 4th goal to make it 5-1 but the lino raided his flag for offside.

Then on 83 minutes , Thomas Wiles lined up a free kick from 20 yards , bent his shot over the wall but the ball
struck the outside of the post .

It was the last piece of action as the boys dominated the entire second half to complete an excellent comeback.
