QPR FC Women are delighted to confirm the signing of Emily Donovan ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Donovan arrives in W12 with a wealth of experience, having featured in the Women's Super League,
Championship and Tier 3, while also winning this division during her time with AFC Wimbledon.
The forward joins head coach Karl Watson's squad with a proven eye for goal and is excited by the
challenge that lies ahead.
"I'm really excited and really looking forward to it," Donovan said. "It's been great to get out on the
grass, I've loved it so far and I can't wait for the season to start."
Having experienced several levels of the Women's game, Donovan believes she can use that experience
to help Rangers challenge at the top of the table.
"This is a league that I've won before and I'm excited to bring my experience and hopefully help us go and
get that league title."
Describing what supporters can expect from her, Donovan said: "I'm hardworking and gritty. I like making
runs in behind, scoring goals and creating assists, so hopefully you'll see plenty of that this season."
The club's ambition also played a major role in her decision to make the move to W12.
"The vision the club has and the vision Karl has is really impressive," she said. "There are really solid
Foundations here and I think it's time for us to kick on and achieve something big this season."
Donovan has also been impressed by her new surroundings, adding: "Everyone's been so welcoming and
friendly, which has really helped me settle in. The facilities are fantastic and it already feels like home."
Looking ahead to the campaign, Donovan is hoping the supporters can play a key role.
"We're going to need you this season,” she added. “We can't wait to see you at our home games.
We need lots of noise and support, and hopefully together we can bring it home.”
