Why are we such a poorly run football club?

Another awful season has come and gone, poor recruitment, poor performances, 10 home league
defeats and a couple of heavy defeats on the road. We had a great opportunity in the FA Cup playing
a struggling EPL club in West Ham, we didn’t lay a glove on them and they cruised through to the next
round.

We were 2-0 up at Plymouth in the League Cup, but we managed to throw that away and were eliminated.

Where is the ambition for the club to move forward, it seems that there is an acceptance from the board down,
that finishing 15th is acceptable.

It would be interesting to know the thoughts of Ruben Gnanalingam, how serious is he about taking QPR
forward. He has been around for many years now and there has been no progress made, poor appointment
after poor appointment and little improvement if any on the pitch.

Christian Nourry, Lee Hoos and Ruben Gnanalingam have had an easy time of it, QPR supporters deserve
better than what these individuals are giving them.

The expectations from the supporters at QPR, are to watch their team performing well and winning more games.

The announcement of a 9% increase in season ticket sales, compared to this time last year last year was
embarrassing. Pathetic in fact.

In my personal opinion these individuals are incapable of bringing success to QPR.

Time for change.

100% in agreement Tommy.

I fear the worst for next season. Just my opinion, and I will be delighted to be proved
wrong and laughed at.

Nourry out, Hoos out, Williams out and last but not least Bould. Bye Bye the lot of you.

It’s the week to week silence in respect of the club which gets me.
Do they think supporters should not be given information on players injuries and possible
ground improvements etc.

They are happy to take our match day money but obviously that doesn’t buy knowledge of
the club and the future plans.

Recent events like the obvious pitch problems and now work on the Stan B stand roof are not
things us mere ticket buyers should be informed about.

I agree the board give the impression that they are happy for the club to languish around position
15 in the league for season after season. Are there tax benefits being a loss making club?

Again ESSEX, as in my comments with regard to Tommy's post I am in 100% agreement with you.

I posted on this site a few weeks ago that sooner or later QPR's luck will run out, and that relegation
will become inevitable under this present, useless regime.

All very sad :(

Bill we are usually saved by the difference in quality of the Championship compared to League1.
So at least two clubs normally find it is a leap too far.

However as you say luck has a habit of running out and the inevitable will happen unless this club
has aspirations and is set up for top six or eight as it will be. Anything else is one big lottery and
only needs a bad run at the wrong time and we will struggle to avoid the drop.

The amount of injuries we sustain and obsession with blooding youngsters straight from Development
Squad level only adds to the risk factor.

Our Team Manager/Coach appointments appear to have little say in the matter to change the situation.

In the last 20 years or so we have seen clubs like Fulham and Brentford, absolutely skate past
us leaving us looking like the pathetic outfit we have become.

Even Millwall made the playoffs this season and where were we? Nowhere.

Hardly surprising when you lose 10 of your home league fixtures.

These clubs were able to attract good investors, they also recruited good people to work in
their clubs and take them forward.

The season has just finished for QPR and trying to drum up any enthusiasm for the next season gets
harder, the communication with supporters is dreadful and neither the board, CEO, Manager or
players inspire any confidence or belief there is a possibility of any form of success going forward.

The board have come to a crossroads in my opinion, they have shown no ambition and should look to
sell the club.

Under this current regime we are going nowhere, no progress is being made at any level and we have
no real assets on the pitch.

Go back to the Gerry Francis days and how this man developed players, his coaching expertise earned
the club significant transfer fees when players were sold. In those days there was a thrill watching
QPR that did excite you, these days attending Loftus Road is a hard watch and supporters are becoming
increasingly frustrated.

Change is needed at QPR sooner rather than later, we cannot have another season like the last few seasons.

Substandard players recruited, managers totally out of their depth and absolute dross football on the pitch.
