Good Luck & Best Wishes Fern....

From the Club...

FERN Orchard has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a
ruptured ACL against Fulham.

The 19-year-old attacker, who joined QPR Women in the summer, will undergo surgery
later this month.

Orchard said: “I’m obviously really disappointed to suffer such an injury but I am already
looking forward to getting back to the training ground next week so I can prepare for surgery.

“I’m really grateful to the medical team, my team-mates and everyone at the club for all
the support they’ve shown me.

“I’ll be working hard every day to make sure I come back stronger and get back out onto the
pitch.”

Will Lambert, Head of Women’s Operations, added: “It’s obviously very disappointing for everyone,
especially Fern.

“She is devastated that her season's ended early but it is great to see her in such good spirits.
She is continuing to interact with staff and the support network that she's got around her, so she is
doing well.

“I must give credit to our medical staff who did a great job in supporting Fern on the night, along
with the Fulham staff.”

Focus is already turning to Orchard’s rehab which will commence after surgery.

“She has been at the training ground to receive support and guidance on how we can help,”
Lambert explained.

“There's been great personal support from ownership and our board as well as the Men’s team
to help Fern with her recovery.

“Fern has also been working with our analyst to support her education and development off
the pitch while she is going through this tough period.

“She has a big support network around her, including her family and friends, and Danny Harrigan
and her team-mates are doing an excellent job at continuing to support her as well.

"We are all looking forward to helping Fern to get back to playing and doing what she loves.”
