Alan Barnes - Rest in Peace Mate...

Post by Steve Russell »

The last time I spoke to Alan was just after the FA Cup draw had been made'

Sadly, he was admitted to hospital shortly after. The last time I saw him was last
week when Jeff Ledwidge & I visited him in hospital.

So many memories of QPR's No.1....

God Bless Al, Rest in Peace mate...

Sorry to hear this.
I have seen much respect and warmth for him on IndyRs.

This is such very sad News.

Alan was from the same generation as me both late 1950's "starters" at Loftus Rd. Ultra Loyal
and dedicated to QPR FC. Sadly missed

Steve R I have just Emailed you my memory recollection of Alan. You can pass on, share, or
repost as you wish.

For my dearest friend Alan.

May you Rest in Eternal Peace, and my wife Eliane and I send our deepest condolences to
his immediate family.

I have known Alan for the best part of 60 years, and the memories will live on.

My wife never fails to mention the little kiss for her at the bottom of his Christmas cards sent
to us, which makes his passing all the more poignant.

God bless you Alan from the Elkins family, Bill, Eliane and Christopher.
