Latest International Round-Up....

Post by Steve Russell »

From the Club...

'IT’S BEEN a busy week or so around the world for our International R’s.

R’s skipper Jimmy Dunne was in World Cup qualifying action with the Republic of Ireland; supporting
from the substitutes’ bench in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Hungary and again in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat
away to Armenia.

Isaac Hayden enjoyed a successful time away with Jamaica. The midfielder played every minute of their
wins over Bermuda (4-0) on Friday and Trinidad & Tobago (2-0) on Wednesday.

There was an England Under-20s debut for Kieran Morgan following the youngster’s first inclusion.
The midfielder was a second-half substitute in Friday’s 2-1 defeat to Italy in Chesterfield.

Kealey Adamson was in China with Australia’s U23s. The right-back was unused in a 14-0 rout over
Northern Mariana Islands but played the full 90 against Timor-Leste (won 6-0) on Saturday and China
(drew 0-0) on Tuesday in Asian Cup qualifying.

There were also minutes for Rhys Norrington-Davies following his late call-up by Wales. The left-back
was unused in Thursday’s 1-0 win in Kazakhstan but played half an hour of Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to Canada.

Elsewhere, Development Squad striker Cian Dillon was part of Ireland’s U21-winning squad for their
Euro U21 qualifiers with Moldova (2-1) and Andorra (1-0).

Under-18s pair Leon Scarlett (Wales U17s) and Kevin Wadman (Romania U17s) were also away during the
break.

Scarlett fired Wales to back-to-back wins over Estonia, scoring a goal in each, while Wadman was with Romania,
who finished fourth at the Syrenka Cup against Albania, Norway and Poland.

Finally, fellow youngster Charlie Street (Wales U18s) is due to face Japan (Thursday 11th September) and
Australia (Saturday 13th September) in the coming days.'
