The season has started with 3 games in a week, 2 defeats and a draw against teams we possibly
should be doing better against. When you take preseason into the equation, we managed one victory
and also took a hammering against a Spanish team.

The club under the guidance of Christian Nourry and Julien Stephan this season, has not hit the ground
running and the signs are not good going forward. Totally unimpressed with most of the players signed,
the amount of players injured is growing by the day and the club is not in a good place.

Julien Stephan’s post match interview on Saturday, where he referred to fatigue was embarrassing and just
about summed him up for me. Obviously he had forgotten about his lineup for the Plymouth game.

When you look at the spine of the team it is poor, Joe Walsh has struggled in goal, Steve Cook has looked
so slow and why his contract was extended I find baffling. Madsen has struggled from the day he walked
through the door at QPR, regarding a striker it is difficult to comment as we don’t appear to have had a striker.

This season is gonna be a long hard struggle in my opinion, Christian Nourry is already dividing opinion amongst
supporters. I know it is very early in the season but Julien Stephan really needs to up his game and get a few
victories, the signs are not good and a lot of the supporters vented their anger at the weekend.

I would like to be more positive about the season, but unfortunately I think we are in for a long hard season.

To me just like last season lack of goals looms large on the horizon unless Kone comes good.

Why is it that in recent years since Warburton goalscoring ability seems to have vanished from the
QPR DNA?

I think the problem at QPR for many years now has been recruitment, we cannot afford £10M players
like the mighty Wexham so we are relying on unqualified people like Christian Nourry to sign players.

Judging by the manager and players recruited this summer, it is clear to see Nourry is clearly out of his depth
in the role.

Richard Kone is a young unproven striker in the Championship, like QPR supporters everywhere we hope he can
hit the ground running and start scoring goals. But the Championship is a very tough league for young strikers
trying to establish themselves, so a certain amount of patience will be required for him to realize his potential.

Unfortunately, patience is a rare commodity in football nowadays.

Injury situation has not helped our start.

Dunne to come back and should make a good partnership with Morrison. Are Cook and Larkeche up to
the standard to support top 6 push?

Nardi should be first choice shotstopper (albeit needing to work on his command of his area).

Field and Varane are a good enough pair to lead defensive and attacking midfield.

Chair, Dembele and Smith are well capable of supplying a front two.

Are Kolli and Kone the answer up front if supplied with openings?

Injuries aside, how much is the problem about the players or about the game that we are trying
to play?
