'Ex-QPR star punches fan as Fenerbahce players run for cover in violent pitch invasion
Michy Batshuayi scored the winning goal as Fenerbahce defeated Trabzonspor 3-2 in the Super Lig
but their celebrations saw the match end with unsavoury scenes in Turkey

Chaos reigned at Papara Park as scenes following Fenerbahce's 3-2 win over Trabzonspor saw former QPR winger
Bright Osayi-Samuel punch a fan and Michy Batshuayi aim to land a kick on another.

The former Chelsea and Crystal Palace forward attempted a spinning back as a pitch-invading fan head in his
direction.

Home fans took to the pitch after Batshuayi's side recorded an away victory thanks to a late goal from the Belgian.

Fenerbahce's stars had huddled in the centre of a pitch to celebrate their win before a lone Trabzonspor supporter
entered the field to goad them. Security tackled the lone supporter who donned a mask. However that did not
prevent a tussle with Osayi-Samuel.

The former Championship ace ran after the invader and landed a punch before climbing atop of the fan as he was
apprehended. Osayi-Samuel had burst out of the clutches of his teammates.

Fans flocked onto the field as stewards initially chased the individual, and the turf was flooded with trespassers.
Moments of conflict were present across the ground.

With bodies all over the pitch, one member of staff gestured for Batshuayi to leave the pitch, but as he
did, the Belgian striker attempted to intercept one fan heading towards the dugouts. The 30-year-old only
offered a glancing blow as the invader continued on his mission before security stopped him in his tracks.

Osayi-Samuel, 26, joined Fenerbahce from QPR in 2021 after starting his career with Blackpool.
The Nigeria international has played 126 times for the Turkish side.

The Belgium international left a pointed message on X following the clash. Batshuayi left no comment
but simply posted a series of angry emojis on the social media site.

Fenerbahce's victory sees the side continue in second place, 30 points clear of third-placed Trabzonspor and
two points behind league leaders Galatasaray.'
