News from the Club...

'WHAT was a busy week for our Loan Rangers, no less than seven of our lads featured for their respective sides.
And it was defender Deon Woodman who caught the headlines, making his debut for Southend United –
while impressing at Roots Hall.

Woodman would make a last-minute appearance against Dagenham & Redbridge on the weekend, but it
would be Tuesday’s clash with Dorking Wanderers that would catch the eye.

The 21-year-old would help the Shrimpers clinch a 2-0 victory, with his contribution to the clean sheet
seeing him voted as player of the match.

In the SkyBet Championship, midfielder Andre Dozzell didn’t feature in Birmingham’s 1-0 away defeat to Millwall,
but would start in Tuesday’s clash crucial clash with Middlesbrough.

Riley McGree’s 17th-minute effort would ultimately condemn the Blues to defeat, with Dozzell
replaced at halftime.

In Sky Bet League One, Charlie Kelman played the final 37 minutes in Wigan’s 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient
on Saturday and would later replace Josh Magennis in the 62nd minute at Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday.

However, the Latics would ultimately suffer defeat at Adams Park.

In League Two, Joe Gubbins and Stephen Duke-McKenna featured for Accrington Stanley and Sutton United on
the weekend, playing in their 3-0 defeat to Bradford and 1-1 draw with Grimsby respectively.

Gubbins later played a full 90 minutes in Accrington Stanley’s midweek victory over Swindon Town, while
Duke-McKenna played 38 minutes for Sutton in their midweek defeat to Crewe Alexandra.

In the National League South, Arkell Jude-Boyd played and scored in Torquay United’s 4-1 victory over Dartford,
he would later play a full 90 minutes in Tuesday’s 3-0 home defeat to Taunton Town.

In the Combined Counties Football League, Conor Clark would finally make his league debut for Woodley United,
featuring in back-to-back victories over Penn & Tylers Green and Windsor.

What’s to come?
In the Championship, Birmingham (Dozzell) host Watford, while in League One Wigan (Kelman) welcome Blackpool
to the DW Stadium.

In League Two, Accrington Stanley (Gubbins) host Notts County, with Sutton United (Duke-McKenna) travelling to
Forest Green Rovers.

Southend United (Woodman) face a long trip to Hartlepool, whilst Torquay (Jude-Boyd) travel to Tonbridge with
Woodley United (Clark) hosting Westside.'
