Yesterday at Leicester...(updated)

Post by Steve Russell »

Rangers fans stood up (those that were seated) firstly on 10 mins to clap & chant
'Stanley, Stanley'. Then there was a minutes applause on 14 mins for young Ollie.

A free flowing move for our first goal prompted wild scenes from the
3,000 Rangers fans.

All the Home fans could muster was a very brief: 'You're Going Down, You're Going Down'
Followed by: 'We're Going Up, We're Going Up.' 8-)

R's fans sang all through the game, after the final whistle & then outside the ground
& beyond.

The lino on our side was getting pelters for not keeping up with play & in the
2nd half three fouls in very, very quick succession only prompted a free kick after the
third one.

There was a ridiculous foul on Jimmy Dunne near the corner flag & ref gave it the other way

Sinclair's first touch was knocking over an opponent & he smashed his first touch of the ball into the
net, cue even wilder scenes :D Someone texted me to say that the reporter on Sky had said that
it was the longest celebration she had ever seen... :D

Despite being under pressure for much of the 2nd half, we could/should have added a 3rd goal in the
closing stages.

Rangers players gave their all & there is only one stat that matters.

Marti & all the players came over after the final whistle & we cheered them & they clapped us.

Some reports say nearly 4 minutes added on for that Sinclair Celebration :!: :o ........
Well that may have been all very nice at the time BUT in todays modern game in a
tight situation you simply cannot afford to have these extra minutes added on at the death.
The Fat Lady is a very dangerous opponent indeed :!:

I expected more time to be added on.....
think it was 'just' 5/6.....

And we could/should have added a third...
