Preston Last Night!

Post by Steve Russell »

Blimey what a 2nd half :D

As we glided around a frozen pitch, we made it difficult for the home
side.

The defence looked tighter & some of our inter-play was superb.

Credit to a disappointed, subbed, Ilias Chair, coming off the bench & making an
impact.

And what about Paul Smyth's goal celebrations :D

Loved Marti's post=match interview.

Well done all..Including the 542 loud & proud R's fans....

Brilliant win and at long last we have a manager who is able to influence games by
varying tactics and use of players and subs.

Listening to Talk Sport radio the day after they had ex Ref Mark Halsey on and he couldn’t
wait to congratulate the team on a brilliant performance! He’s a big Rs fan.

Never thought we had any chance of scoring a goal after watching that first half stalemate.
Preston were not that effective either but seemed more likely to score than us.

However in the second half what an amazing transformation! We were well on top and could
have scored more than the two goals we did.

Man of the Match?....Our Manager! What a genius to turn that around
