2-4 Defeat for the U18's On Saturday....

Post by Steve Russell »

News from the Club...

'QPR Under 18s suffered defeat to AFC Bournemouth Under 18s at Heston on Saturday afternoon
n this U18 Professional Development League clash.

Despite leading courtesy of first half strikes from Alfie Tuck and Lorenzo Strachan, a dominate second half
display from the Cherries wrapped up victory for the south coast side.

Micah Hyde’s side started bright in west London with the R’s threatening to break the deadlock early on as S
trachan and Tuck both threatened.

And it was the Rangers captain, Tuck who handed the Super Hoops the lead.

Jake Coomes beginning the attack, digging out a cross which found Tuck who calmly slide the ball past the
Cherries keeper.

The visitors pushed for an equaliser, with Jonny Stuttle Harry Cant called into the action, but the R’s keeper
was equal to it.

However, it was Hyde’s side whose threat was stronger and when midfielder Ramy Bouhiaoui played in Strachan,
he calmly rounded an onrushing goalkeeper and placed his finish into an open net – doubling the R’s advantage
at half-time.

The first half finished with the home side in the ascendency, but it was their South Coast opposition who started
the second bright.

The away side would soon draw themselves level, Jack Holman's picking out Remy Rees-Dottin who slotted home
for 2-2.

The game was opening, and the spaces in the midfield were becoming prominent. Sills, whose influence was
growing as the half went on, played an interchange with Harry Redknapp, which fell to the feet of striker Stuttle,
and he powered a shot to the bottom corner to complete an unlikely comeback.

There was a lull in play but five minutes before the end of the game, Redknapp and Sills combined again,
with the former's clipped set-piece volleyed in by the latter to consolidate the visitors second-half revitalisation.

Our U18s return to action on Friday 13th as we face Crystal Palace U18’s in a friendly fixture at the Eagles
training ground.

QPR: Cant; Manufor (Putman 46'), Leahy, Klimas, Ford; Young (Hamid 46'), Tuck; Bouhiaoui (Radojevic 65');
Commes, Sutton (Sanyaolu 45'), Strachan.
