Tony Fernandes steps down
Shock news.
Still, can't say I blame him.
Who's going to want to take over??

Club report says he's sold his shares -
but doesn't seem to say who's bought them.

What will happen to his shares?
Lakshmi Mittal had the opportunity some years ago to have a majority
shareholding in our Club but declined.
Richard Reilly joined the Board last year & I think he was at the official
opening of the training ground last week.
Lets hope there will be an update from the Club very soon...

Yes what happens to his shares? I reckon he will sell or has sold nearly all his stake.
His Airline business has been in financial trouble for years and he probably now realizes that
there is virtually nil or impossible chance to push for promotion to the Premier League this season....
and maybe a few more seasons into the future. Hence his decision to exit.
Whatever you may think of his entire tenure at the helm. He tried his best but the endgame did
not work out as he envisaged.
