The team selection for the starting line up was wrong. Key players left "rested" on the bench.
As a consequence we made hard work of beating a mediocre Cardiff team and victory could have
slipped through our grasp. In the end although the better team we were a shade fortunate to have
won.
It appears to me our manager had more focus on the massive forthcoming encounter against M'Boro
on Saturday. Bad strategy methinks. Firstly give yourself maximum chance of beating what's in front
of you then plan and worry about a future fixture nearer the time.
In any event M'Boro are a top side and most probably we will not be beating them no matter what
the circumstances or our team selection.(I hope I am wrong)
Re: QPR 2 Cardiff City 1 2/9/26
Two areas nearly cost us last night.
Our appalling inability to take even the simplest of chances. These are professional footballers
and are not requested to do anything other than score goals. What do they do in training?!
The substitution of four players at once can only disrupt the play and leave us vulnerable in the
period it takes them to settle into the speed of the game.
It nearly cost us last night and it did not refresh the side as we sat deeper and deeper. If the intention
was to play on the break why wasn’t Smyth put on?

Re: QPR 2 Cardiff City 1 2/9/26
Not there last night & had to watch it on Sky...
High tempo game, & Rumarn Burrell was back to his
old self
How superb was Jimmy Dunne, a rock at the back.
Ronnie Edwards to start in midfield?
So many attempts not even hitting the target was
very disappointing & could well have cost us.
Not a fan of bringing on so many subs in one go.
A very welcome 3 points

Ronnie being moved into midfield has highlighted what a versatile player he is and can only add to his value.
Good to see Burrell back to his last season pace. We just need to get Kone back to form but he’s not going
to get that as an unused sub! Was Poku injured?
