Five changes again, one enforced and from 2 wingers to none.

A debut for Ben Hamer who, experienced as he is, I don't think
he has played in a competitive game for a very long time and could
have been included in a Development game and/or maybe in an
arranged friendly or two

Saying Hamer hasn’t played for over a year!!

Folly of not having a Football Combination type league.

By all accounts our new goalkeeper had an excellent game and offered many
things we do not get from Nardi.

Seemed to command his area and there was one comment he took out Dunne
in doing so during one cross!

Ben Hamer: 8
Brought into the side in place of the dropped Paul Nardi – the 37-year-old’s first game
since March 2024 – and did superbly.

Commanded his area well, in stark contrast to Nardi’s displays, and produced fine saves –
the best of which was when he tipped over Danny Ings’ diving header.
