Teddy Lawrence Leaving the Club!

Post by Steve Russell »

Hadn't been seen for a while.
Wonder why he's being released??
News From the Club...

FOLLOWING the recent conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign, the club can now confirm the players
who will be staying with us from the current Under-18 age group.

The following will stay in W12 and make the transition to our Development Squad:

Conor Clark
Sam Manufor
Noah McCann

The following players will now depart following the expiration of their contracts:
Ramy Bouhiaoui
Teddy Lawrence
Youssef Yahyaoui
Tyler Young

Academy director Alex Carroll said: “We understand this will be a challenging moment for each of the boys
as they transition away from the club. However, we believe these difficult decisions will ultimately provide
them with the best opportunity of fulfilling their potential.

“We are extremely grateful to Ramy, Teddy, Youssef and Tyler for the commitment they have shown in
blue and white, and we wish them the best of luck for the future.”

Knocking Tottenham out of the Youth Cup in December 2022. part of my report...

Teddy Lawrence scored a dramatic (and well deserved) equaliser on 88 minutes after poking the ball
home from close range to the delight of the Rangers contingent.

Five added minutes were soon indicated and three minutes in, Rayan Kolli’s powerful strike came off the
underside of the crossbar.

The two final changes saw Derek Luzinda and Samuel Bagan replace Guilherme Siqueira and Jake Leahy
respectively.

Into the first period of extra time and a delightful flick from Kolli found Teddy Lawrence who then curled the
ball onto the woodwork.

Tottenham could well have taken the lead following a swift counter-attack. The unmarked Spurs player somehow
put the ball wide from inside the box.

It was pretty much end-to end as Rangers created chances of their own, but at the break it remained all-square.

QPR took the lead on 108 minutes when Alfie Tuck’s excellent cross from the left found Kieran Petrie at the
back-post.

Then, Rangers clinched a remarkable victory in the 118thminute when Teddy Lawrence managed to stay just onside.
He then proceeded to face Luca Gunter one-on-one and the QPR No.8 went on to coolly slot the ball home.

We should have kept Teddy Lawrence! A mistake methinks.

Yes. Anyway why is he leaving?
In the words of the Boy Zico...

We should be told
But we wont be
Sort it out
