Bill, I was a spotter in the early 70s, but when I left home, my dear old Mum threw out
everything I'd left behind, including my Ian Allan CVs.
In those days, me & my spotter pals could bunk into Old Oak during our school lunch break -
used to love seeing the Westerns, Warships & Brush Type 4s.

Preserve it as best as you can Bill. It's part of the UK Train Spotters heritage

Steveqpr881. Yes I recall seeing those Western and Warship Diesels too at Old Oak. They were a relatively
new class at the time. The Sheds there were easy to get in and walk round (via the canal side) unlike
Nine Elms and Willesden and certain others where entry was strictly forbidden

True, Kerrins, Willesden depot was a no-go zone.
Stratford was very variable - sometimes you'd get in, other times not.
