Loan Rangers....

Post by Steve Russell »

From the Club...

'FOLLOWING several temporary departures from W12, a number of our Loan Rangers featured for
their respective sides over the past week.

After completing a switch to Wigan Athletic, striker Charlie Kelman made his debut for the League One
side, while defender Deon Woodman also made his first outing for his new outfit, Wealdstone.

Kelman would play the final 21 minutes in the Latics 3-2 away victory over Peterborough United – a victory
which moved them up to 13th in the league table.

In the Sky Bet Championship, midfielder Andre Dozzell would play his first full 90 minutes for Birmingham City,
but couldn’t prevent the Blues from suffering defeat to Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

In League Two, Joe Gubbins continued to feature for Accrington Stanley with his goalless draw with Grimsby Town
his 20th start for John Coleman’s side.

Elsewhere fellow loanee Stephen Duke-McKenna would make back-to-back appearances for Sutton United.

Initially, playing 45 minutes in their 2-1 home defeat to Harrogate Town, before featuring throughout in their 1-1 draw
with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

In the National League, a Wealdstone debut would arrive for Woodman on Tuesday evening – replacing Sam Bowen just
before the break.

The Stones would ultimately face defeat to Maidenhead United at Grosvenor Vale.

Lastly, keeper Harry Cant continued to feature throughout for Ashford Town, playing in their 2-2 away draw with Ascot,
before featuring in Saturday’s defeat to Guernsey.

What’s to come?
In the Championship, Birmingham City (Dozzell) face a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday evening, in League One
Wigan (Kelman) host Exeter City while in League Two, Sutton United (Duke-McKenna) host Morecambe with
Accrington Stanley (Gubbins) travelling to MK Dons.

Elsewhere in the National League, Wealdstone (Woodman) host Hendon while in the Isthmian League Ashford (Cant)
welcome Raynes Park.'
