Stephen Duke-McKenna has joined Sutton Utd on Loan..

Post by Steve Russell »

From the Club....

'STEPHEN Duke-McKenna has joined Sutton United on loan.
The 23-year-old midfielder will stay with the League Two side for the remainder of the
2023/24 campaign.

Duke-McKenna, who began his career with Everton before a spell at Bolton, joined the R’s
in 2019.

He could make his debut for The U’s this weekend when they visit Walsall.'

Our January window remains in Fort Knox mode with nobody getting in. We definitely
are making Loftus Road a fortress.

Connor. I have been of the opinion for over a week now that our Board, CEO and Management have decided
that we stand or fall with the squad players we have.

Obviously no chance of spending any money on signings that has been made clear!....but you would have
thought we may have tried for a couple of suitable incoming loans.

Risky business staying up with our existing team I reckon.

You are dead right Kerrins. As you have said a number of times, there’s got to be a striker coming in.

It looks like Fort Knox might possibly be breached with Michi Frey from Antwerp seemingly on the brink of
completing a loan deal with us. 6 foot 2 inch 29to Swiss striker with a good enough strike rate before his
latest short-term Schalke loan and fallout with Antwerp boss. His YouTube best bits reel show that he can certainly
bang a goal in, is good with his head and can also completed careful finishes with good composure.
Let’s see if it comes to anything!

Great Steve. Glad to hear it

He seems to have a good bit of swagger about him…..maybe that’s just how the Swiss roll.

I know…..that was terrible….:but sure it made you smile…..for nanosecond

Still in shock but thanks Conor...

He was introduced to the fans just before kick-off.

Met Stephen Cross from Dungannon in the Crown & Sceptre
pre-match. Hadn't seen him for ages, he was there with his son & nephew.

Had many trips over to QPR with Stephen Cross - including my first game - and the NI fellas which I really enjoyed.

I haven’t came across any of that gang in a long time. Always had good times with them.
