Millwall Game

Post by Conor Campbell »

Excellent to see three much-needed points on the board yesterday.

Plenty of encouraging performance displayed. We were on the attack plenty and could have scored
more and tested their keeper more. Chair gave it everything to get on the end of his goal and great
to see Armstrong making sure he was first to the ball for his tap-in.

Plenty to like about Dykes’s (who I had lost heart in before now) contribution.
Much more meaningful involvement than in recent full forward position.

Much more tenacity and intensity than in some recent displays. Are we looking fitter all round?

Closing in on Huddersfield and halting the gap to next team up from there becoming insurmountable.

Will our form carry on through the Huddersfield game?

After Sinclair had got clattered, he went down & had to be helped
off. Thankfully he came back on & apart from firing up the fans,
how magnificent was he & what a wonderful goal celebration :D

Frustrating watching us playing it from the back for most of the
1st half until I noted in the 44th minute, Begovic belted it upfield
much to my relief.

Thought that was Jack Colback's best display in the Hoops.
And a word on Lyndon Dykes, excellent performance in his new role.

One R's booking, Marti!

We clapped in memory of the loss of top R's fan, Derrick Broome
God Bless Derrick....

A great result, and hopefully it will set us up nicely for the Huddersfield game.
I can see the winner of that game staying up at the expense of the loser.
