Surprisingly small crowd for the time.

It was not unusual to play Christmas and Boxing Day in the early days. If players complain now
about frequency of games what would they say to that! The players were also paid a pittance in
comparison but just got on with it with a smile on their faces and one leg hanging off. :D

I used to like the Boxing Day fixtures, when we were at home.
