Couldn't make it to Harlington today. Report from the Club...

QPR’s B Team returned to action this afternoon (Tuesday) as a strong Rangers side overcame Woking at Harlington.

A starting XI which included Jordan Archer, Osman Kakay, Dominic Ball, Luke Amos, Charlie Owens, George Thomas, Stephen Duke-McKenna and Charlie Kelman – fresh off the back of last night’s victory over Derby County – clinched a 2-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Things started brightly for the R’s, with Ball, Duke-McKenna and Kakay all combining well, only for Kelman’s header to flash wide.

But, in the 8th minute Rangers were able to take the lead.

Some quick thinking from Kakay forced Woking keeper Craig Ross into a mistake and Kai Woollard-Innocent was on hand to gratefully tap the ball home.

The Super Hoops continued to flex their attacking muscles, with Duke-McKenna and Thomas going close.

Before a powerful strike from Kelman forced Ross into a fine save down to his right-hand side.

Owens then troubled their increasingly busy keeper with a curling effort and finally with the half-time whistle looming Rangers doubled their advantage.

Welshman Thomas was brought down in the box, with the referee in no doubt as he pointed to the spot, Amos stepped up and converted doubling our lead at the break.

The second half continued in the same manner, with some fine passing from the R’s carving open the visiting defence.

Duke-Mckenna had the ball in the back of the net on the hour mark, but his celebrations were cut short as the official’s flag was quickly raised, for an offside in the build-up.

But Woking grew in confidence with Inni Efflong and Jack Skinner beginning to trouble the Rangers backline.

And in the 67th minute the visitors were finally rewarded when they headed home a well worked corner kick.

Woking pushed for an equaliser, with R’s stopper Archer having to be on hand to cling on to our lead.

And as the full-time whistle blew Rangers had sealed the victory.
