Blackburn Rovers 1 QPR 0 Sat 26th Feb 22

Post by Kerrins »

I was at the game and I was shocked by the poor level of performance.

We would never have scored if we had played (in the words of Wilson Pickett) till the midnight hour with that set up. We had no idea whatsoever if and when we crossed the halfway line. At times we passed the ball around ok in our OWN HALF of the field but in general a lot of slack play.

Blackburn were always miles more likely to score than us. They have now Chalked up one goal in six matches!

What the hell has gone wrong from Barnsley onwards? What's happened to our front foot style?

Poor performance Bernard.
Lack of penetration in final third again, 2 shots on target!

Told about the traffic problems with many fans arriving after kick-off.

Yes Steve R. Extensive Road works in the Blackburn area. I was delayed nearly 40 minutes going home on the bus after the game but did get there for kick off in good time.

Continuing the soul music song title theme...... might we have nicked one if (in the words of Johnny Johnson & The Bandwagon) we asked the ref to Give me just a little more time?

Just thought of another!
It's been so long since won a game, we should be singing, "You keep me danglin' on a string"
:P

Anybody else got any others?? ( Bernard, sorry to hijack your Fred)

Bernard, the Rs let us down every time, but we'll still be there this Saturday singing (to quote the old Northern Soul classic) -
Do I love you? Indeed I do!
