I travel the short distance from my home in Walkden Worsley Manchester with hope but not much expectation.
Sorry but our so called strikers leave me cold. We would have done better to keep Austin and Gray.
Still you never know.

Re: On my way to Blackburn
Tyler Roberts in the door 5 minutes and already injured, he has an appalling goal scoring record.
Macaulay Bonne openly admits he wants to return to Ipswich Town, Beale has high hopes for
Sinclair Armstrong but wasn’t given a squad number.
It does make you wonder, how can we win games if we can’t score goals.

Re: On my way to Blackburn
Add to all that, the fact that it's one of our jinx grounds...….not optimistic.
Still, it's only the 1st game of the season, so COYRs.

Re: On my way to Blackburn
I thought we played some reasonable football in midfield areas and in general our defence
looked organised.
We certainly did not deserve to be behind at Half Time. In the second half we faded somewhat
and Blackburn (who were not that good) looked comfortable holding on to the lead for the 1-0 win.
Now for the bad news. We were inept powder puffs up front and not likely to punch our way out
of a paper bag. As I feared and anticipated the proven failures of so called strikers Bonne and Thomas
plus the very often off form Dykes moved into the bleedin' obvious category.
This is not a rushed verdict on my part.
Austin and Gray may not have been the players they once were but they are better goal scorers
than we currently have on our books. They should have stayed.
Yes only the first game but at present not looking good in the ball in the net dept, folks.
Lets hope for improvement and the signing of a decent striker.
