He pioneered the use of the 'Mellotron' synthesizer.

When I still lived in W6, it was part of a great pub crawl, along the river;
Blue Anchor, Rutland, Old Ship, Dove.....then the Black Lion (by Bell Steps) if we made it that far.

“To provide some context, the fans in the away end were unable to hear the content being spoken due to the quality of the sound system... Really?? I was at the opposite end (in Q Block) & I heard it perfectly - and I'm half deaf in one ear. Still, they did the decent thing & apologised.
