Derby

Young Kerrins and I attended our final match of the season and for sixty minutes or so we played some of the best football of the season. Unfortunately injuries and poor substitutions cost us the final home game. Bennie had one of his best games and just needs to add finishing to his game. Living ne...

Swansea

Was that a pre-season friendly we watched last night? With multiple subs coming on and young players being blooded it was far from a competitive game. Team play was non existent and I don’t know if the pitch is getting hard again as it did a couple of seasons ago but ball control was non existent. C...

Re: What an embarrassing performance, from both players and manager.

Yes a shocking performance by the starting eleven. Improvements after half time as a result of the changes but with several players returning from long injury periods they were obviously not match fit and lacking in team understanding. We are going to need a partial rebuild and hopefully if a new ma...

Re: Steve Cook Set to Leave....

A sad loss for the club. He still makes a difference when he comes on and hopefully our
younger defenders have learnt much from him.
A genuine old school professional.
He will be missed.

Re: 'At the Final Whistle Dave Underwood Dropped his Shorts'

The goalkeeper would probably get an umpteen match ban now! Although not an attractive
sight it was a funny experience!
It wasn’t surprising given the stick we were giving him!

Re: Remembering Ray Drinkwater on this Day...

Yes a no nonsense get on with it player typical of his time when money etc had not
“corrupted” the game.

Unspectacular as you say but Mr Dependable.
Following Ron Springett was a difficult act to follow but he did it without fuss.
To be followed by Peter Springett.

Re: Portsmouth Yesterday.....

It could and probably should have been a 6-5 score line at the end. We were fortunate to face a side unable to defend and it was nearly a case of having to score more than we let in. Why both goalkeepers did not wear caps is strange. Is it not fashionable now? Walsh appeared to stand still for their...

Leicester

Congratulations to the team on an excellent win. However the largely dross that preceded it must not be forgotten so it begs the question what has been going on? Did the team demand changes in tactics and players playing in their preferred positions I wonder. Probably we will never know and hopefull...
