Chris's report via our Facebook page.....

QPR under 18s had a comfortable win on Saturday morning against Colchester United at Heston. This was despite Paul Furlong making 6 changes from the team that started at Charlton last weekend. The majority of the team were made up of current under 16 players with only two 'regular' under 18 players selected and two trialists playing their second games.

With so many changes we found it difficult first half to get into the game. All the chances fell to Colchester without our trialist keeper having to make a save.

On 37 minutes we took the lead, against the run of play, with our first chance. Trialist left back Franklin Domi got to the byeline, picked out Raheem Conte with a perfect cross and his lovely flick flew into the net.
HT 1-0

In the early minutes of the second half, our trialist keeper Thomas Middleshurst , made an excellent one on one save.

On 58 minutes we brought on all 3 subs with Stathis Kalathias, Arkell Jude-Boyd and Isaac Pitblado replacing Franklin Domi , Raheem Conte and David Ozobia. A minute later we doubled the lead and went absolutely goal crazy with Oluwabumni Babajide scoring on 59 & 62, Joe Gubbins 65 & James Fahmy on 67 making it 5-0.

Literally every shot went in. The scoring continued with an own goal on 76 and a twenty yard screamer on 84 by Nathan Carlyle making it 7. Colchester scored a consolation goal on 88 as the game finished 7-1.

It was one of those games whereby every effort on goal went in and some of the goals were half decent but you had to feel sorry for the Colchester boys as they did very well for an hour then got punished in a short space of time.

Team : 1. Thomas Middleshurst 2. Trent Mahon
3. Franklin Domi ( 15. Isaac Pitblado) 4. James Fahmy
5. Hamzad Kargbo 6. Joe Gubbins 7. Raheem Conte
(14. Arkell Jude-Boyd) 8. David Ozobia (12. Stathis Kalathias) 9. Oluwabumni Babajide 10. Nathan Carlyle
11. Dejarhn Grant
unused sub: 13. Shay Cadogan- Cameron (gk)

Only the one mistake on the teamsheet this week !!!
