Thanks to Chris who posted his report on the Indy's Facebook page...

Under 18 Professional Development League 2.
QPR 4 Bolton Wanderers 1.

Bolton started off the stronger and had 3 shots on target in the first 4 minutes, the second of which gave them the lead on 3 minutes.

We equalised two minutes later when Nathaniel Orafu smashed home following a decent run and shot followed by a cross from new kid Carlito Williams.

Williams himself almost put us in front when one on one with the keeper he put his shot six inches too high. We did take the lead just after the half hour when centre forward Jaheim Rose showed some predatory instincts by being in the right place at the right time in a penalty box scramble.

A weird scene when we scored a third on 43 minutes. Boltons keeper came to collect a ball on the edge of the box. As he did so he collided with Marcus Brooks slightly. The referee didn't blow his whistle. The keeper placed the ball down to take a free kick. Brooks got the ball and kicked it into an open net.

The referee immediately went to the refs assistant and between them they concocted a story of a foul on the keeper. No foul had been signalled by either the refs whistle or the assistants flag. Totally wrong decision and totally bizarre. HT 2-1.

Second half we upped our game and the ball was literally in Boltons half for 45 minutes. But it was still 2-1 on 75 minutes despite creating about 3 or 4 really good chances but all efforts were literally inches wide. Then on 75 minutes Shiloh Remy hit a 25 yard left foot screamer.

We continued to batter Boltons defence and in the dying minutes Jahiem Rose got his second and our 4th goal when put through one on one with the keeper.

FT 4-1. Excellent all round performance by all 13 boys.

Team : Dickinson . Drewe. Williams-Lowe. Orafu. Carlyle. Gubbins. Brooks. Remy. Rose. Failing. Williams.
subs Callendar for Frailing. Mahon for Gubbins.

We'll gloss over the under 16s for now.

Well done to Chris for the report.

At least that will relieve some of the "stick" I have been getting from my Bolton Wanderers supporting friends.

I really hope we dont get tonked by Bolton's first team on Sept 15th....otherwise my life in the locality will be hell for a while to come
