Clive Kingham phoned me to say that with the improvement in the weather (& the steady improvement in his health), he was coming to his first match in nearly a year.

Team: Dickinson,Ribeiro, Woollard-Innocent, Mesias, Carlyle, Genovesi (capt), Kendall, Bettache, Platt, Remy, Grant.

Why only Mickel Platt upfront? It meant that Charley Kendall played on the right-wing. That said, he did really well with a succession of ex runs & dangerous crosses.

The visitors took the lead against the run of the play when I think their No.7 put the ball in the net with his knee. They could have well have increased their lead but for Tyla Dickinson making two ex stops with his legs in a matter of around 10 seconds.

We equalised after 22 minutes (thanks Chris) when Platt finished from close range. On 40 minutes, Dejarhn Grant belted the ball on the half-volley after great work by Mesais. Half-time: 2-1.

Charley Kendall started the half upfront. Birmingham equalised after a defensive error. The referee had made a number of ridiculous decisions and in the 70th minute he topped them all when he sent off Tyla Dickinson!!!!

We had used up our 3 subs by this stage (Orafu, Francis & McLeod), so Murphy Cooper stayed on the bench & Nathan Carlyle went in goal.

Charley Kendall held on to the ball well under pressure, then he flicked it through to Bettache, who proceeded to round the keeper and slot the ball in the net. 3-2 to the R's.

The ref was a disgrace, he was even telling Nathan Carlyle which ball to use for his goal-kicks!!!!! He then booked Dejarhn Grant for kicking the ball away (correctly) but he had given the foul clearly the wrong way!!!

With Rangers defending well, the ref ridiculously awarded Birmingham a pen!!!!

In the final stages, Leandro Ribeiro had his shirt tugged, he retaliated & there was a bit of a flare up. The ref booked him and the opposition culprit.

If you come across Ede Eruero...BEWARE!

The U16'a lost 1-2 on the adjacent pitch.

Welcome back Clive, see you again soon mate.
