Looking at some of the transfer deals doing the rounds and the fact that our owners could out-spend Man City ten fold.

You have Boyd going to Boro then McManus going the same way and then see Ledley joining Celtic. Only McManus went for a fee you think what is going on at Rangers its not like we won't pay high wages, as we are.

Just don't get our transfer policy at times.

For me not serious enough.
Not really inspired by the signings, good as they may be, but I doubt they are good enough to get us to the promised land.....they show no real intent of taking the championship by storm.

Off the pitch it's the same old same old.
I wrote to club some six weeks with concerns about facilities in SAR.
They confirmed the following day they would look into it and get back to me...... the silence has been deafening.... how long would they like another six weeks?...... it's simply not acceptable.

I'm hoping that the next few weeks sees us sign players of the quality we want/need to see down at Loftus Road - but I'm not holding my breath. It is a bit worrying to see certain clubs signing the players we rate, but then again a lot of other clubs in the Championship aren't exactly flashing the cash around. It does make you question the intent and ambition of the club, or maybe Warnock feels there's enough talent in the squad. Still, when you've stumped up hard-earned cash for your season ticket, Clint Hill and a freebie striker from a relegated club doesn't exactly get you counting the days till Aug 7...

Points well made mate and also we have a squad of well over 30 and most of them are on long deals and no one else wants to do the job in this league you need a good squad of about 25 good mix of youth as well.
And proven strikers...............

We need to offload ASAP and we can not even give some of them away.

The new badge is hated. It's tacky, and overblown rubbish. A bit like the management and the transfer policy some would say.

I too have wondered if the club are gearing up for a serious season. "Free's" may save money and the odd one work out, but they are not exactly players released from EPL clubs are they??

I dont expect our board to break their bank/s but hey, we've known for how many years now we have needed two good left backs, two good right backs and 4 strikers whom are capable of scoring over 15 goals each per season??

Sadly, we have not had anything remotely like this for some years. But with all the midfielders we could experiment and play a 1-9-1 formation.

Our club needs a "Name" player to give it a more positive profile and get the fans through the gate. Faurlin, being the exception, has potential to be a super star for us, Buzsaky as well, so long as he drops the ego trip of last season regardless of the way those events unfolded.

But with the clubs reluctance to spend not just money, but time & effort to bring in real genuine quality players, makes me wonder if we are going to tread water yet again. In Colin we trust but give hime the players to do the damn job!

I'm a little worried, but also a bit more optimistic.

We may not have yet signed and had some frees: But the Kenny and Mackie signings - and effort for Ambrose and Taarabt (forget whether you actually want him) suggest there is some investment...

+ Think of all the staff Warnock has been allowed to bring in: That's quite a commitment.

Do I want some more signings? Absolutely

Do I think they're going to happen? Yes I think so.

(And of course, I hasten to add: I am neither "In The Know" - Nor do I pretend/profess to be "In The Know" (Gianni: "He doesn't write. He doesn't call" )

Over the years, I've seen more false Dawns than Count Dracula.

I really thouht that we would be relegated last season, then along came the boy Warnock who wasn't worried about it at all, and just started talking about this season.

Hopefully come the start of the season he'll have the squad he wants.
Give him his due, he had Palace playing some decent stuff last season.
I wish him all the luck in the world.
Although I don't think we need a squad of 'Warnock Battlers.'
The only way out of any division is by playing decent football.

I don't enjoy being treated like a Sardine in the S/A rd stand, so I'll be Cherry Picking games.
The Flavster's piss poor social experiment is over, so let's have the Members Bar back.

'Why do you need a Bar, when you should be there to watch the football,' I hear you say........

I need the Members Bar, because it takes away the pain.

effort for Ambrose & Taarabt!! this is meant to be a professional football club ffs, theyve been charging everyone the earth, still got the unbelievably tacky badge that most hate & want the other one back we had before, we've as stated above, needed at a minimum 2 proper full backs each side with cover, 2 to 3 proper strikers......& how long for now? its a joke it really is.....we were stronger upfront & in defence in the Ollie days. I'd feel alot more confident when we had the likes of Cureton, Thorpe & co upfront, even Blackstock, another one who was never properly replaced.

Even having Padula as our full back now, it was more exciting back then, basically alot of it all comes back down to Paladini, who has messed all this up wasting all the decent money we had to spend on terrible dodgy players on huge deals (he used to like the 4year plans)....when he shouldnt of been allowed anywhere near finances. Then the orange peel man disrespecting everyone with his class banding & interferring......so we`re now paying for all of that sh*te right now!

Well said Mr Purdy, We've been lacking two good strikers since Gallen & Furs led the attack. Kev might not have been scoring but he was setiing up Furs etc. Full backs have been an issue for nigh on 5 years.

You are also correct, ST holders have been charged more than some EPL fans, yet the quality of footballer you are paying for is very average at best, with perhaps the exception being Faurlin.

My Idol Icon must be very proud of what he hasn't achieved. Still another freebie to Italy will cheer him up.
