Post subject:  Alan 'Sniffer' Clark.

A name for the oldies amongst us; one of the top strikers in the 60s/70s.
Played for Fulham, Leeds & several other clubs.
But one thing I never knew was that he was the brother of one of our players, Frank Clark.
Read this in one of the football mags - don't remember which one, I was just browsing in WHSmith.

Steve, please forgive me, as I do not wish to seem pedantic, but the name is spelt Clarke. Their were three brothers that played professionally, Alan and Frank, the other brother's name I cannot recall.

Wayne Clarke played for Wolves and he was the youngest of 5 brothers Alan and Frank being the most well known. The other 2 both played league football for Walsall I think. This would be headline news nowadays.

I didn't know that about Alan being a brother to Frank.
