Match report from the Club website...

MIDE Shodipo’s early strike was not enough to prevent QPR U23s from falling to defeat at Colchester United on Monday afternoon.

Paul Hall’s R’s came into the clash in good form, having beaten Millwall last time out and having only tasted defeat once in their last eight league games.

They got off to a good start when Shodipo found on the net on the 15-minute mark but the U’s then hit back when Louis Dunne turned home an Ollie Sims cross.

Omar Sowunmi headed home from a corner shortly before half-time and, after the break, Jevani Brown sent an eye-catching chip into the net to make it 3-1 to the hosts.

QPR U23s will hope to bounce back when they host Coventry City at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Friday 15th November.

QPR U23s: Dickinson, Drewe, Masterson, Trialist, Domi, Smith, Wells (Duncan 71), Bansal-McNulty, Dalling, Shodipo, Walker.

Subs (not used): Brzozowski, Rowan, Duke-McKenna.
